is that fishing line in the first picture? if so I question your methods of taking your fish out of the tank. tell me you at least use barbless hooks

Lol is that not how everyone catches their fish!? ;)

I use the fishing line to tie plants like anubias onto wood, and yes this does serve as a good example to gravel vac thoroughly....though in my own defence it was densely stocked with wood, trapping a lot of the dirt :P

Still needs some thought on the egeria in there, and whether they were a wise purchase lol

Great tank now that it's cleared up!

The tile looks awesome, is it cut to size and just sitting there or has it been sealed down or something?
Had never thought about tile before...

Looks better but man I bet your nitrates were on the high side. That's why gravel sucks, but if you upkeep it properly it can look good. That would probably be a .5" layer of crap if you it all settle.....

Cheap way to decrease nitrates and keep your fish healthy: http://monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=504763

Thanks Davis, and F1, tested weekly my numbers are always 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 5-10ppm nitrates, I tend to do a lot of water changes and lots of filtration though, otherwise yeah I'd have a tonne of nitrate lol

Dont wanna derail but a few cuts and put in place. No grout no silicone......I measured perfectly and had no debris in the cracks. I will never go back to sand or gravel
