I'm currently writing a paper on P. Natteri, just for fun. I have only just started it,so I haven't gotten to far, and I'm already stuck.

I have already tried google, and yahoo and msn usually give me the same answers, but I'm having a problem finding information on the breeding habits. I'm currently reading www.Opefe.com, but I haven't found anything regarding the breeding habits (wild or otherwise) of this particular species.

If someone could please point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has pictures of piranhas at 5 inches and up that I could use to demonstrate the color changes that they go through as they grow, I'd be appreciative. Whiplash is only 4-4.5 inches, and Kaylinn is only 2, so they won't work. Make sure that if it's not your picture, to let me know who it belongs to, so I can ask them permission, and give credit where credit is due.

Thanks in advance for any and all information.

what exactly you trying to write? how do Natt. breed???

what grade are you in?

Crap, I had a bunch of typos in my OP!!

No, I'm just trying to write an informational "paper" about Red Bellies....I figured I'd have to get into biology and such sooner or later, and it makes sense just to put it at the beginning.

I'm not in school, I'm just writing it to (A) Keep up my writing skills, (B) Expand my RBP knowledge, and (C) stay familiar with using Microsoft Word, since this program is becoming increasingly popular with businesses, and if I keep myself proficient, I have a higher chance of getting a better job in the future.

It never hurts to write for fun, especially since literature has always been a big part of my life....yes, I'm a nerd....lol ^_~

I think I might write a paper as well. I haven't written anything of length since college.

RBP are common all over south america so they arnt like caribe and have only one specific biotype

i suggest that you research their distribution and then reasearch their native habitats to find what you need

If you interested in gittin to be a better typer they have good computer programs for it. You should also talk about people eating piranha...

meh, my computer is way too slow to support any more programs, I'm well enough at typing, I just need to keep my skills up, and work out my brain a bit.

Thanks for the idea of talking about their use as a food animal, I would've forgotten all about it!!

And Master K. I am kinda curious how that jaw moves so dang fast!! one minute, they're eyeballing their "prey" next minute ~*SHOOP!!*~ it's gone!!

I know our little 2"er sucks her food into her mouth!!! I've been watching her eat lately.
