i am a little lost here, what is the effect of writing DSLR in your title of a photo thread? writing 4 letters doesn't make your pictures magically better than anyone elses, not shooting a DSLR doesn't make your pictures crap, can someone explain why they do it?

I think Li started it when he got his DSLR. Then others started copying him.

Im gonna put iphone photos in my next thread....lol

Personally, I don't look at the photo lounge often but when I do I look for DSLR ones. Not going to lie, personally they do seem better for up close shots and the like.

^not exactly true though.... I shot a lot of close up stuff with a PS and sometimes I think it looks better.... its all about how you use the camera. If you cant use a dslr correct photos may not be any better then a PS camera and can be worse.

Kinda sucks for the people who are enthused about their photos and want to show you what they have but you wont look at them just b/c its not a dslr....

point n shoots can give you some decent pics but they dont even come close to matching the clarity of a DSLR, unless you have absolutely no idea what youre doing!

Too bad too sad, that's where the other 60k members come in.:D
I know SOME non-DSLR pics are good, I've seen them but most aren't as good as a DSLR. But like I said I don't go to the photo lounge often, just not my cup of tea.

i actually started using it in the title as a way to get tips on using my dslr better(so others with the same could comment on give me advice)not to put anyone else down,i just want to make my own photos better, and there are quit a few people on this forum that i could learn from.
