Wrongway drivers

Most of us on the West Coast read recently of a 21yr old girl who in the early morning hours on Sunday kills 6 including her own sister riding as passenger in a head on collision driving the wrong way on the freeway. Witness's say she was driving 100mph. Now I just read on the East coast in Florida the same thing was happening early morning Sunday with 4 college students all 22yr and under killed. 5 people die in this accident by a driver driving at high speed the wrong way on the freeway. There tragic accident was caught on video

Horrific, you've got to question the sanity of anyone in the car driving the wrong way. The real sympathy goes to those drivers who are caught in the carnage caused by people like this, we had a similar story up here of a pensioner driving up a dual carriageway who killed two young girls.
 
nothing new. happens in florida and arizona all the time. then it's usually seniors.
I myself was hit head on with a pickup while driving a pinto. we met in the middle of a curve. he decided to ride on the inside, too bad I was already there.
even if they stay on the correct side there's no guarantees. I knew of a girl hit by a flying alternator to the face from an accident on the other side of an expressway barrier, 50 yards further on.

the part hitting her from 50 yards away on the other side sounds like something on that show "a thousand ways to die". :D
 
That's been happening a lot around here to. All the drivers have been intoxicated.

That first accident happened here in so cal, about 5 minutes from where I live. I heard that the driver was drunk, and that 6 people died, while the driver had only minor injuries. Several people called to report a driver going the wrong way but at 100mph theres not much of a chance that highway patrol would get there before something bad happens.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully its not like the teen in texas that was drunk driving and killed someone/someones in an accident but got off because he was "too rich" and "too poorly raised" to know better. I call BS, since when is ignorance ever made it okay to break the law and kill people?

These stories really bother me since they are completely preventable but people are too tied up in themselves and are so irresponsible.
