With how hot it's been these past few days and the temp. of the water already at 90 degree's you could probably just take that heater out and get a new heater by tomorrow at noon or so.

P Bass will handle waters in the 72 degree range for a while - most tropical fish stop feeding at 68 and die at 64. I've kept convicts in pools that got as low as 68 for months before with very few deaths.

thank you whoever referred me to the site :)

No problem, the concensus seems to be that VisiTherm Stealth's and Hagen Tronics are the best in tank heaters around right now.

Eheim/Ebo Jager used to make awesome heaters, the ones with a green top last 10+ years with no problems. But if you look at the reviews of the blue capped ones there are a lot of them giving out or leaching electricity after a years time.

well the thing is.. i dont want to shock the fish with a huge temp change so i might just wait on gettin a new heater first.. i have like 8 parrot fish and 2 wild occels as well as 2 tems.. i'd really hate to lose the wild occels so i htink they will be alright in 90 degree weather for one night. well i hope.

Can't say I'm familiar enough with the species to tell you what would be better. Just my opinion - don't think it would kill them either way...don't think they're going to be happy either way, though.

Marine Depot open their will call at somthing like 10 A.M. and the cut off is at 3 P.M. with the pickup cutoff being at 5 P.M., I think.

Don't buy any water condition/ medicine from them. they are overprice them. I recommend you go buy at the warehouse on bolsa. You will save at least $5. I have compare the price in both place and warehouse is far better price. Warehouse they don't have nice set up displace tank and not many fish and if you buy fish from them please quarantine before you put in you main tank. They seem don't take good care of their water. Friendly owner and if you buy alot, you can as for discount.

I buy most of my supplies through online suppliers like Marine Depot or BigAlsOnline.com

Or just print stuff out from there and head into PetsMart for a price match...

i'm sure you don't wanna drive close to 1 hour to get supplies :). if you want to get rare aro or turtle then it worth a drive down there.
