Want to get some guppies but all my lfs are pretty expensive to buy that many and there has to be someone who breeds them even on MONSTER fish keepers

I can come pick up in Orange County 92606

Yeah i have better pics but they’re back lit so it’s hard to show the color. Ordered the parents off eBay from some guy in the Midwest who would ship them, I’d recommend looking there. The babies were very delicate though. Hella line bred for shows. I probably killed 100 before I had some stick. But now I’ve got babies that are ending up poly food because idk what to do with them. :-/
I’ll post the stock photos that he posted on eBay if I can find them. I know I saved them. A8FEECA9-541E-41E8-92DF-665EAE546F3C.pngB18CC8AA-FCDB-4537-BD5A-0516FB305115.png

There they are. Blue Grass Guppies. They throw albinos every now and then and reds as often as blues. 999CAEA3-6C04-46AD-A2D4-FBBDC566843B.jpeg4CACAD27-E1F2-4BB7-8E33-E798B7BB183B.jpeg
But I like em a lot. Glad you do too.
Maybe you can track him down next time he’s selling some of his stock. He’s got lots of strains of quality guppies. Just keep in mind the fancier they get, the less hardy they are. I mean, they’re still guppies. They can adapt to any water as long as there isn’t any ammonia or chlorine and the like. But the second your ammonia is readable they’ll probably crash.

If you are looking for something to breed for fish food then just buy bulk feeder guppies.
And quarantine them for a week. I bought some large Congo tetra for my Bichir tank and some how a little feeder guppy made it into the bag so I said “meh, free fish”
Boom. Ich.
Luckily I had medication on hand. But feeder fish are almost always disease ridden.
