WTB anysize cowfish. I believe it is the cuzin of the wolf fish. I was holding a large one for a friend for some time. Never seen one at LFS, just wolf fish. Can't ever find the cowfish or a nile bichir (bichir bichir). thanks for your time.

I guess you're talking about Oxyeleotris marmorata (marbled sand goby)? They're not related to wolf fish (Hoplias sp) but, are a type of goby. They're available most of the time except, they're usually available as small specimens with larger ones occassionally available from hobbyists after they've outgrown (grows to over 2ft) or out-eaten their welcome.

So far seems like ive got enough info and the fish could have been either. Being that both are found in lfs ill just get a small marbled goby and water cow when i come arcoss some. thanks guys

Not to sure of your location but there's 1 in Midlothian ill at a place called Animal Island. Its about 10in+ i believe. Ask for Jason. He's a good man to work with. Tell him Cesar sent you!:headbang2 Good luck.

if you look in the top 20 or so for sale ads today under the title stock list there is someone selling a 7 inch ( think it said 7 but might have been 5) cowfish for around 30 bucks.
