And expect a Great Dane to live 5-7 years. More than that is a total blessing.

Really?!?! that's a shame, my last dog- springer spainel, died at 14, and i thought i could keep her longer. it sucks loseing dogs, i couldn't live knowning they'd only be there for 5 years

I've seen alot live towards the upper end of 10 years but in general all larger breeds have short life spans.

BTW, why would you want a big dog E? Did your lil gilr asked for a ponny? I had a black Great Dane ten years ago. Sweet dog. One time she ran across my back yard, and a friend of mine thought I had a cow

No, I asked for one
If there is a good deal I cant pass it up... but I think I'm going to put the COW on hold and remodel my house first
