Paroon sharks are illegal in the US my friend

Quite a few dealers seem to be under that impression but the fish do not seem to be on any government restricted lists.
There is a thread around here from a year or so ago on the paroon shark legality subject.

They are federally controlled . You can call your local fish and wildlife to confirm. Being an importer myself I have to know all of the illegal species to protect my license . The fines can be crippling

I'm sure it would be in your best interest interest to know their status however plenty of vendors regularly carry them.I wonder if there is some confusion somewhere as to exactly which pangasious species is banned.
