I know the batch you are speaking of. The last 3-4 batches of Red Tigers have not had the same problem. The bad batch was from Asia, whereas the recent ones have been coming from Colombia, like the larger parents. They could technically be considered "wild caught," but they were bred in a pond in Colombia so F1 seems to be a better name. There hasn't been an issue with them, other than there don't seem to be enough to satisfy demand!

I just picked up a couple more really nice rotkeils from Rainbow in Pacoima. They only had two but were trying to get more. Might be worth a call. They have a 20% off pre-black Friday sale too.
Guessing you missed my reply at the top? The ones Wet Spot has are essentially wild caught juvies.
