Good than I expect a thread! I would recommend tong feeding for all flatheadsOh yeah: Coolest native catfish there is IMO.![]()
Try mixing pellets with bits of fish or shrimp in a gelatin mixture so he gets to associate the taste and smell of pellets with foodI kept a 12" before, but gave him to a friend when I took a break from the hobby. He ate raw shrimp at night (he never came out during the day). Hopefully I can get this guy to eat pellets eventually.
A regularly updated thread would indeed be so refreshing. We get nothing on flatties, not a single grow out thread.Good than I expect a thread! I would recommend tong feeding for all flatheads
Which I'm sure you know, but other readers may not.
Hand feeding these guys will get you injured as they get bigger, while leaving food on the floor of the tank often means it gets ignored, tong feeding leaves the fish associating tongs with food, not your hands while cleaning the tank.A regularly updated thread would indeed be so refreshing. I am one of the other readers. Why only tongs?
