WTB: someone to buff my acrylic tank for me (Chicago)

I'd go to a body shop and buy some really fine grade sand paper. The finer it is the easier it will be to buff out. 1500-2000 maybe even finer.
 
1500 is the grittiest in the kit, which goes all the way to 8000. I've thought of that though, getting a nice big sheet and a power sander, but I'm not sure if there's a difference between wet/dry. That may be the way to go, because online I'm seeing stuff for a buck a sheet.
