i've seen some mayans with awesome colors if thats what you mean i'm not sure why people don't like them mabye cause they try to take the place of festaes

its a uro mayan cichlid like others have said. They have big teeth for there size. Will try to dominate the tank. It may even kill fish u think are tuff. be carefull watch it close as it gets adjusted to the tank. They do more then rip fins they tear flesh
