I went to visit someone and I noticed that there was a drawer sticking out. I opened it and there was a 15" Want to know why he didn't get a snake or gecko instead?

OK what i want to know here would the landlord even let him have a snake or gecko ,because if not he would not be able to house the animal in the correct way in the first place ....maybe this person need a imaginary pet or something

Answer 1) He get free salads with every meal, in which he also get for free, at a place he worked at.

I hate it when people keep herbivorous pets. They think they don't have to deal with mice and bugs or frozen meat in their fridge/freezer then they don't even give them a balance diet.

Answer 2) A snake or leopard gecko doesn't need as much room as a skink, even though it is still wrong.

Lot of people keep prohibited pets in their residence. At my dorm, we are not allowed to keep animals, yet people have a cage or tank that can easily be placed into a drawer in an instant if someone come in.

It is just stupid. I know when I went away for extended period of time, I automated everything for my reptile collection.

I feel guilty and want to take it off his hands, but I am not allowed to keep reptiles... nor I can make an overnight trip back to my permament resident and spend about a week setting up my old automatic system.

yes lot of people do keep whats contraband pets drugs etc..rules r rules

Yeah, I will say that many small herps can easily be hidden in dorm rooms/small apartments, yet can still be properly taken care of. I had my crested gecko in my dorm for a whole year because I had so many live plants in there, he always hid, and my RAs always assumed I was just keeping plants. Snakes and arachnids are even easier to conceal.

I'm not necessarily condoning this behavior, because you can still get caught anytime, with the consequences ranging from a small fine, confiscation to even eviction. I was just lucky.

However, many herps are not suitable for dorm life, whether they're allowed or not. Prehensile-tail skinks definitely fall into this category.

What an idiot. He probably has a tiger in his closet.

yeah.. stupid. well.. I'm of the opinion that we should simply remove the warning labels from everything and let the problems solve themselves..
