I'd be curious to know if anybody has kept them in captivity successfully. To re-create the kind of conditions it would need to survive (i.e. pressure etc.) would be difficult to say the least.

as far as i can find, no one has success fully kept any deep sea anglers in captivity long term. it is too hard to re create the conditions(pressure, temperature, foods) that they require and too little is know about them. my science teacher was absessed about them.
