Got it from ebay. I guess he is not too bad as he did make things right as far as being honest after the fact and did refund most of my cash. I dont know the whole story and probably never will so I would rather not blast the guy. He may have been selling the actual fish pictured and there was a mix up or something. He also didnt have much feedback and what he had was 100%. He is also no longer a registered seller on ebay anyway.

fading fish are hard to judge, you may end up with a masterpiece.......

do not listen to everything you hear with flowerhorns, many people keep them a week then they consider themselves experts.

They are unfaded SRT. Looks like 1 is going to fade soon so you might end up with an actual SRT you got them as they were advertised.

Are you sure they are a pair? Were they just told that they were a pair or did you actually check their vents? Because to me, they both look like males. I've had a couple non faded SRTs before and females always had that black dot on the dorsal, and when they do fade that dot peels with everything else.

They are skinny, fatten them up!

Darn you JP... I had my neighbor from down the street check and told me without a doubt that they are both MALE!!! No more venting for me! At least not while he lives down the street. He is a member of our local fish club and has been breeding cichlids for years. Mostly Africans though.

So, if anyone is looking for a male shoot me a PM!

I will post some more pics tonight once the wife gets home with the camera. They are really starting to pop with red! Amazing what a little food can do.
