WTF is this guy thinking?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
actually, there is a small truth in the statement. aros become less agressive if put together in a "school", but the problem lies in the "half-truth" presentation. the incomplete info will lead ignorant buyers into biting way more than they can chew! again this is an example of a person doing anything to get quick bucks. the aros will grow to gigantic proportions and without a proper home, plus the headache for the unsuspecting buyer. legal action should be done against crappy advertising and marketing such as this. tanx Beansray

i think you guys may be over reacting aboot it just a little bit.

for one, i would assume anyone willing to spend $210 on small silver arowanas would know how big they can potentially get.

i dont think the fact that the seller doesnt say they can get around 3 feet is the problem. the people either knowing and not caring about the size, or just blindly buying the fish are the problem (again, i would hope someone willing to drop 210 on ANY fish would do some research). the only real problem i see is that he says they will not fight because they were raised together, that sounds off.

2 arowana in my experience do not mix well. i have seen it work before, but again, in my experience 2 will not get along. mine would only fight. 5-6 would probably get a long much better, i have seen many pics of tanks with 5-6 and the arowana's condition looked pretty good.

and as far as housing goes, 5-6 arowana do need A LOT of space to get nice and big, and although the majority of people cant house them properly, some can.

I aswell keep many aro's, I think of myself as a fanatic not nut's. I think that at any time your buying more than a guppy you should do research on how to properly care for the fish. Arowanas are not for most people, And one shouldn't consider one with any smaller than a 180 gallon tank. However some people do have large aquariums and do keep 5 or more aro's in one tank with great success. Just my two cent's.

Who do you think is searching aquabid for aro's that doesn't know anything about them? I really don't know too many people who order fish over the internet who don't know how big a silver will get. And I agree with the number issue. 1 aro= good 2 aro= bad 5+=good. Its just dispursing agression.

i would still buy one if i had money lol
