planaria are pretty easy to peg, they look like miniature leechs for the most part, their head is shaped abit differently. what you have sounds like a water flea type bug I get in my planted tanks. depending what the stock is, you can get a natural means of cleanign them up ie a predetor. Or simply deal with them, I've never had any negative results from haveing them in my tanks. and usually I get them when I've overfed for a length of time or if their is any stagnent areas in my tanks. ie my 5 gallon bettas tank w/ it's barely a trickle filter system lol. They don't seem to like overly active water movement, so you can try bumping that up to get rid of them as well.

Ya right now i've been trying to convert my aro to pellets with not too much success yet. From what everyone had said i will do a 50% water change later today and raise my water temp a few degrees, since it's at 81 right now.
