well it has to be receeding back into him. It is now only stiking out maybe 3/16". Crazy that itis retracting so fast. But he seems a little more active and not worried about something trying to nip at it. Haven't tried feeding him yet but I bought some frozen bloodworms tonight that I'm gonna try. Hopefully he pulls through I would be amazed if he did but so far so good.
Good luck.well not really much to update but he is still alive. It is still hanging out about an eigth of an inch and I haven't seen him eat anything in last few weeks. I'm figuring he has to be eating something though or he would be dead. I guess he must be picking food up off the bottom or something. All I know is if he makes it through this he is instantly moving up the COOL chart for being such a survivor.

well he has been put down. started to get several secondary diseases. He was definitely a tough little booger though.
That is the problem with this condition, it leads to abrasions on the intestine followed by a variety of infections including septicemia.
I've dealt with this on reptiles before, and that was really gross, but that little baby carrot is just freakin me out.
