Every time I go to Wal-Mart I see fish with ich and floating, while their tankmates eat them. Not cool !

they dont anymore i havent seen any dyed fish there for a long time really glad to.i dont think that theyve updated their site in a while

i think most fish that you see including the one at petland have their tails cut of intentionally. unless its really a genetic problem.

i've only seen one genetic problem fish at petland and it though it was pretty cool you can tell if its been cut or if its genetic... i tried to take a pic of the genetic one but the next day someone bought it

Originally there were ones that were bred without tails to look like hearts. Then the breeders saw that they were really popular so when the fish were fry (or older) they cut off their tails.

OMG, that is soooo sad...knowing me I would of bought it just cause I felt bad for them!! I'm really bad at stuff like that, ended up with a violet goby (which ended up being a GREAT fish) because they were in a tank that was sooo horrible..half dead, others dying so I bought one...knowing nothing about them (yes, I know BAD me) but anyway I had a tank I was setting up to get some African cichlids I had been wanting...well needles to say that tank became a BW tank instead. After I got home and found out what I had..they even had on the tank that they needed aquarium salt (1tsp/10g or something like that)! I did end up loosing him because the ice storm we had last year, had no power for 4 days. I also have 3 male bettas, and a tank with 6 female bettas because I just can't walk past them and not buy one...OMG I have a problem!!

Anyway sorry got off the topic there a little, but that is just sad and so cruel!!!
