wow, that's really odd!

I agree with Japes and JD that it might have died for whatever reason, and got eaten since you fed them 2 days ago.

I guess the important thing is to make sure you still have all the fish when you get back. If the daemon was killed by a larger fish it could happen again when you are away. Who's going to take care of your fish and have you thought about dividing them temporarily?

What plecos and how many? I'd be doubtful that a psittacus would choose a single daemon from a pack of five and pick it off, but then it's interesting to have Cichlids just drop dead without prior warning. No place for daemon to get stuck or lodged? I've heard of Plecos finding Cichlids that have gotten stuck and making a meal out of them.

I agree, but just think about that, that would be horrible.:eek:
 
If you're going to town be sure to leave your lights off. Fish are less aggressie and expend less energy without lights.
