well the reason i asked was because i wanted to know if it has a chance at rehealing or will it always look like that , because i thought it might be in such bad shape that it is unable to reheal , but for now im waiting for a response from the seller

yes the fins will heal up with good water quality and food...good luck with the response

Nice excuse to use when buying something you shouldn't. Don't be selfish, just leave it for an experienced keeper so it will have a better chance at survival.

kind of harsh, why would you assume that is he does not get it the next person would be a fish whipserer and bring it back to life when he could not.... I thought the point of these forums was to help and give experiance if you have any that matters.... not to attack and belittle peopel, but I guess some people are like that and it makes them feel good..... not my cup of tea...

I gave my opinion that would help both the keeper and the fish. You choose to reply to a quote of my rebuttal to his nonsense excuse. I state it again He does not have the proper housing for another arowana, and a bowfront is the worst type tank to keep an aro as it is very narrow on the ends. Already stated the unlikelihood of the two aro existing in a tank together.
As far as his experience, have a look back at his update thread showing off his cichlids, he didn't even know they were sick. A month ago, thread of members trying to help get his fish in shape.

This aro is going to require pristine water, as in daily WCs to recover from very advanced case of fin rot. Only a dedicated experienced keeper is going to save this fish. IMO this keeper can't do it. Oh and I love how he went from selling the aro to giving it to a friend once his intentions were questioned.

There are far too many people who just post butt kissing "good luck", "nice try" "trial and error" feel good threads instead of telling as it should be. Many people view me as an ***hole, really I don't care I tell it as it is, and I know what I am talking about regarding what I comment on. Way to many people get butt hurt when they don't get the answer they want, too bad reality sucks sometimes.

You may be the smartest person on the forum but they way "talk" to people make them shut down and not pay attention.... i am far from butt kissing kind of person (anyone who actually knows me would agree) but sometimes not talking down to people works also.

Okay look, I have never acted like I am prim and proper the fact that you would say that means you know nothing about me so lets not pretend you do.

All I am saying is that if you want people to listen to you maybe your delivery could use some work.

I am fully capable of insults and being nasty just like everyone else, i dont need to slide them in. I was trying to be constructive.
