Not a fan of live feeding. I know it happens in nature, but you can find other things to feed that would be just a nutritious. If you had to feed them the chick or really wanted to, I agree with killing them quickly first.

It is cruel because these are domesticated birds we reared and are responsible for. They should be killed humanely. In fact I suspect if this is occuring anywhere in Europe or the US, it is illegal.

I agree chicks shouldn't be used as feeders, but do not see how this is inhuman? The fish eat them very quickly..

Agreed. Koji feeds chicken to his aros for this very reason.
Then again, the owner would be much better off feeding chicken, it's probably just as cheap, and will cut down on maintenance. (feathers and bones all over the place)
