u gota do ur own research most lfs and suppliers dont kno nothin about bichirs theres 3 diff types of palmas if it dont say which 1 odds r its a palmas polli or not a palmas at all u can always order from rehoboth aquatics it'll b no doubt u get wut u ask 4

These ones are online. My LFS only sells Sens, and they are labeled as Sens. I have an inquiry into Rehoboth, but havn't yet heard back from them. Are they in the states? Without a doubt, they seem to have the most comprehensive list available ANYWHERE!!!

I just heard back from Rehoboth. It looks like I'll be getting a little Retropinnis on my next payday. SWEET!!!

Again, I wanted to apologize if I've offended any of the dealers out there. I in NO WAY wanted to ridicule, or make fun of, I simply am after clarification from the many Bichir officianados here on these forums. Thank you again to all who have replied, and I greatly appreciate the info available here on Monster Fish Keepers.

Ben.

yeah thought they looked like sens and knew albinos had red eyes so thats why i wasnt sure in what i said but thought it was kind of white colored for a reg sen arent they usually bit more grey? what would you call the color mutation of white? and congrats on the retro! i think im gona go look at their site, im trying to get an ornate :)

hey is there reason why when i go rehobothaquatics.com it acts like its going to the page but then just does black page?

i have both sens an palmas in the same tank. an what i found to identifiy them is that the palmas has no markings on them an the sens. have dots on them. the pics you posted looks an offle lot like my big palmas.

i just contact rehoboth and they replied like 20 min later (is 50$ for 4" ornate bichir, shipping included a good price?) (sorry for the randomness just wanted ask quick question since iv never seen anything besides sens for sale at fish store)

I guess that's "Kinda" like admitting you don't know what you're selling. This one looks MORE like a Senegalus than any of them though... Oh well... I will hold out for my 3-5" Retropinnis I think. Thanks again to all who read through this.

this looks red eyes with unique body colour. or is it the flash?

i think its just the flash that one looks like reg sen, one i was referring to as albino was the first one he posted, it was more whitish color than the others but it wasn't actual albino dont think

Their prices seem to be as competitive as any on the web. Not to mention, you'll have the peace of mind, of knowing that you got the exact species you were looking for. They were my first choice without question. That should be a lot of fun to watch a little 4" Ornate like that grow up.
