And ugly!
What would you do if you wanted to buy a dog, and the breeder dicided to shave your dog and tattoo some ugly-coloured huge flowers on both sides of the dog?
Think you're still gonna buy it?

i wouldnt buy that dog.

but you know cropping tails theres a equivalent in fish, same kind of cruel stuff.. i wonder how many people still by dogs like that, i havent seen a cropped dog tail in ages, although i did see cropped ears some weeks ago.

edit: im alittle mixed feeling on cropping ears as it does help keep bacterial or yeast infections at bay.

ugh i would not want to buy any animal that they did anything remotely like that too its just disturbing, oh and sostoudt i am against cropping tails as well but not all people with cropped tailed dogs mean for it to happen as friends of mine are completely against this but their dog's tail got really hurt and infected from him wagging it hard up against furniture (hilarious i know and wouldnt think they could do it to themselves but they can lol) but yeah so they had to crop his tail later in life since it got so damaged, but yeah im there with you against all this stuff but we also have to remember to not judge so quickly (in the case of dogs not these fish, with the fish we should judge like hell LOL)

i realize that as my parents had a rescued dog with a broken tail, it was immobile and always getting covered in feces and the dog constantly chewed on it. they had it docked. but the majority of docks have no medical reasons.

yes of course most people just do it for the "looks" i just wanted to add that in there as sometimes with dogs its medical reason whereas with these fish it is nothing but hurting them to gain a profit, the article that picture is from says its a big craze in china so maybe it doesnt occur here to that huge of a market as i havent personally seen fish like this anywhere (except for the poor colored oscars of course) but still its just sad that things like this are occurring on such a massive scale just so people can have something "cool and unique" in there tank when they can get a naturally colored fish thats way more colorful and pretty

Just as easy to post a pic as it is to post a link:screwy:
Seems like tattooing like this would really be time consuming.

Could be that this is how some guy makes money to feed his kids. Has any body ever seen the conditions some dairy cows or chickens are kept in, just so we can keep eating eggs and drinking milk.

Complaining here is kinda hypocritical isn't it?

ive actually said the same thing when i thought people were taking it too personally.
buts its still cruel even if you dont think it worth making a big deal out of (i dont think its worth more then a discussion here and there personally).

example just because a serial killer lives across the street, doesnt mean its ok to beat your wife.

They're dyed with a low intensity laser, and is harmless to the fish... Look it up.

They're ugly as hell yes, but around here the ones with I <3 U on them sell out everywhere during valentines day. I say a $25 dollar fish, and all the accessories to house them is quite the sale..
