your main problem is that you wont break it up, thats why its not selling.

i just bought a 135gl tank off of the recycler a month or so ago for 200 bucks for the tank/stand/canopy. i dont need 90% of the stuff you're trying to sell with it, nor do i want to try and part it out if i had bought it which is what the majority of the people on this forum think when they see a thread where the person will not part stuff out. sorry to be the devils advocate, but you might move it faster and make more money if you do.

for example, if someone is just interested in a tank/stand they pick up this one off of craigslist for 275. i even emailed him and he said he was willing to negotiate so i could probably go for around 225

Wright,

It's cool man & I agree with you 100%. That's been my thinking from the very start my initial inclination was to move the fish first and it's been flagged about 8 times on craigslist which doesn't help.

I posted the fish: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/for/646273698.html
but no bites

LFS won't give 2 squirts of a piss for the fish which I can understand and no local bites which compounds the matter.

Shipping fish is another beast altogether which involves some risk especially if the livestock don't make it there alive. Atleast when I bag a fish for a client standing next to me I know it was alive when it left my pad.

I saw that aquarium you linked. No offense but that tank looks old as hell and like it's been beat to #@*%.

If someone just wants a tank and the condition is N/A, I'm pretty sure you can get one for less than $100.

I'll catch hell for this comment but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for.

As a buyer I don't expect to get a brand new Lexus on a Ford budget. Can it be done? Sure if you run into an idiot or someone is desperate but I don't expect it to always happen as a rule of thumb.

Let's say hypothetically someone bought the fish, I don't see any reason separating the filters and aquarium to be an issue because I can easily get buyers for both.

At $600, I'm basically giving the fish away in this deal. I will hold onto the aquarium until the fish get bought or the package gets sold as whole, whichever comes first but I know it's still a good deal.
