i got 6 rbp's in my 75gallon and theyve ben in there for a couple months now and they have become very skiddish in the past few weeks...anyone know why this would happen or how i can cool them down....they literally jet as fast as they can when i get anywhere near the tank it freaks me out cuz they sometimes hit me heater and the wallls...if somethin dont happensoon i might just sell em and use the 75 as a breeder for jags or some doviis?? what u guys think

how big are they?

and do they have a place to hide and are they in a hi traffic area(people walk by the tank)

hmmm

well i dont know how you could calm them down i mean it is in there nature to be skittish
ahaha

Black water ( made by tetra aqua ), dim the lights using electrical tape ( you said u have plants. . . .. might not be be able to dew to plants? ) but p's are natually skiddish, so at leastthey are healthy:screwy:

haha when we went near my tank and my p went between the glass and he drift wood so fast he nocked himself out :( lol

well blk water is not going to help, plus it only last for about 2 weeks...go with peat. You want to spend lots of times infront of your tank. Red bellies are the most skittish out of the pygocentrus family.

same thing, peat moss in the filter and black water do the same thing, both represent black water. and after about 3 weeks all you have to do it add more. . . . .. seems to be easy to me.

i am assumeing u have piranhas? well actually i am not, because i do and i got blaco water and it helped. i assume dimming the lights wont help either? :liar: :nutkick: i belive it does!. . . . .and it does

Man piranhas are just like that...Its actually sad how scared these things are when their the "all mighty piranha"...
