X Rated Stingray Action in the 700

Enjoyed the videos.....you have some great fish in there....love the Xingu pikes,do they always behave?found them to be a dominant Crenicichla,those Temensis are stunners too.
 
Nice ray collection. Keep an eye on that male though. Neither female looks interested in his advances; I wouldn't count on pups just yet. Make sure he doesn't harass the darker female too much.

Wait and see what happens when you put that big male marble in there:)

thanks. yes the pikes always behave although i am sad to say that i think i have 2 females..... which may be a good thing because if i had a male and they tried to mate then they probably wouldnt be behaving!!

the cichla... one is a temensis the other is a pinima

yea... the new female is ab out 3 yrs old so i would assume that she IS sexually mature. she doesnt seem too interested in his aggressive advances. when they want it do they just turn over and let him have it?

he has been on her all day. she finally sucked onto the side glass like a pleco because he leaves her alone when she does that
 
Omojena those type of rays are illegal in cali right?? if they were not would a 360gal be good for life for two?the vids are awsome by the way!!!And if i coul get some are you willing to help out on the care of them questions and such?Tank footprint would be 96x36x24

I caught my pair mating once. The male actually flipped over and was underneath her. I put a link to the video on here a few years ago from Youtube. A few other mating videos have been posted and I think most show the male on the bottom.
