Walmart did not kill the HD DVD.......... it was warner.... they were already to sign with hd dvd then last sec they got cold feet. then the other company jumped ship.....
they didnt want to have a dead drive in their box.... now it looks like they made the right move.

Xbox360 has a very good selction of games but you guys have to admit that those red ring of deaths are bad and the fact that MS didn't include the HDMI output on the first release did suck. They pretty much screwed the loyal Xbox fans who went out and bought the first release machines.
So pretty much I'm saying Xbox360 is a good system with many good games but it's not good hardware wise due to many of it's hardware failures. I can say something similar to the PS3. Ps3 is a great piece of hardware but there aren't many good games for it out there. 2008 has a better line up. I'm not in a real rush. I'm don't have much cash to keep on buying new games anyways.

I wanted it for Halo 3 and Forza 2, and I don't have time to play those. I'm impressed so far, hopefully I don't end up in the red.

I don't really think the red ring was that much of a problem other then in the first generation of 360's.......There was an article on gamepro.com that said 16% of first generation 360's failed and about 4% of the ps3's have failed so far......
I agree with you that PS3 was probably planned out a little bit better with it's hardware, but it's games and online play will take quite a bit of time(if ever) to meet the 360's........
As to the PS3's 2008 game releases.....I don't think that will compare to the 360's either with the releases of Halo Wars, Gears of War 2, and Fable 2 just to name a few.........
But anyway, I don't think HD DVD's are worth it and I will not be buying it for the 360, I am perfectly content with my 120 GB Elite 360.......
