sweet.
but i cant get its own tank.
parents. haha
if i get one itll be with cichla, heterotis, hoplias, channa, barras and other preds.:nilly:

I have yet to see my pikes with my P's of course because my P's are huge in comparison. So on that note you may want to think about what is important. Man I wish I could send you a tank I have three sitting around. :( someone else may be able to give better advice in this case. Because with the combination you have something will have to give eventually. The Xingu I had was aggressive but as you know cichla are just waiting until they can fit it in there mouths. How big are your fish right now?

pikes with Ps...
thatd makea sweet combo.haha.:D
all the fish are 3 inches or less for now.
you think in a heavily stocked tank the pike would still be able to pick on anyone?
i think cichla would be ableto keep out of a pikes way easily.

It would look awesome!

AND YES that Xingu is going to be a problem for a few of them.

As far as a small Cichla with an over aggressive pike imo I don't like to say this but it may not work. The Cichla is sensitive at that age and the pike is over curious if that makes sense. After there both 8'' then they may be able to co-habitate but while there young I wouldn't trust the PIKE the P bass will be in danger. I only say this because at 3'' they will be competeing for any live food that hit's the water. And Pikes don't really play nice.

the only small ones available are the xingu Is or dwarfs.
i never feed live.haha.
and have never had problems with getting cichla off live even at 1.5 inches.:grinno:

i think you mean wolves.:naughty::grinno:

i dont think theyd do anything to anything not small enough to eat.
ive kept them with other fish since i got them.
theyre even with a feifeng which they could easily take down but havent.

I am waiting to see what P.P. has to say about this. At such a small size it could work. I feed my P's live and shrimp. My pikes eat live also but they also eat anything they can get there mouths on. I am kinda pushing the envelope right now with my 2 pikes, 2 Vieja, 2 Jags, 2 Jack's, 2 Cubans, 1 Texas, 4 hybrids, and one 17'' Silver Arrowana in a 100g tank! :WHOA: And a few others I left out. But my pikes hold there own. I always over stock I know it's bad but I don't like a two fish tank. :naughty:

I haven't kept Wolves in a long time. But the one I had I kept with three RED Snake heads for about two years and one day he decided he had enough and dispatched them all.. Let's just say I don't trust wolves with anything at all. ESPECIALLY my pikes I love them too much.
