i know it seems weird but,

he went from a 450 gal at my buddies house to my 450.

temp is the same

i feed the same diet he did. (smelt, shrimp, earthworms, etc.)

we both have amazing water quality, (michigan water) with drip systems.

Any tank mates stressing him out my big dat is stressing my aro just because he is in his space so now my aro is on a hunger strike it sucks ,one week. I wonder if a aro will starve its self to death .

Mine went on a strike after transition but not for a month. More like a week or two. Ask your buddy which of the foods were its favorite and try feeding it that one. I say just keep trying daily...Hopefully it will eat soon. Good luck.

well today i came home from work an as soon as i walked in the door i smelled like dead fish BAD!

i went downstairs and my aro was dead on top of my tank.:cry:

Been there. So sorry to hear that fam.:( I actually went on arowana strike for a couple years I was so devastated. But I couldn't stay away too long and I'm back in the game. So it jumped out the tank and died on top?...Or do you mean it was floating at the top?

broke the lid right off and died on top of the tank.

thanks for the replies

Sorry, what was securing your lid? Just want a reference to how strong the aro was?
