A friendly reminder that a generator is very useful in the coming months

Luckily, never had to use it last winter...hoping my luck continues. I actually got the generator running, a couple of weekends ago, just to get it out of hibernation since it hasn't ran for about 3 years now

That was on Tug Hill. It's located just east of Lake Ontario and gets crazy amounts of Lake effect snow. To be fair, I don't believe that was a full height stop sign. But was still probably 3' of hard packed trail base. If anything, this weather is just keeping the Great Lakes warmer, which will crank up the lake effect that much more once the weather does turn.

It is a seasonal road in upstate NY. There was around 4'+ of snow on the ground at that point. This is another pic from around the same area last winter.

I spent the first half of Thursday at work plowing the roads at work, was not real bad, was a nice dry run to refresh the crew on using the plows and spreaders.
