I second rallysman.
If your concerned at all about noise, after your sump is up and running, keep your tank level to the bottom of the AC's outflow, otherwise in addition to any noise your sump drains make, you'll be adding to that the noise of the AC's waterfall.
If you use an XP3, you can adjust the spraybar for it to just below the surface.
You still get decent surface agitation, but the tank level won't be as critical as with the non-adjustable AC's.
