It is interesting that yours have a yellowish coloration. Mine are more pinkish orange. I wonder if they are from different areas of Peru. Or maybe it's just the lighting?

The Erythrinus erythrinus sp. peru seems to be a little more rare. I believe mine came in with a Brazil order, but that was about a year ago so I could be mistaken.
I don't think it's the lighting, he looked the same in my 55g grow-out tank. But the colors have intensified with age (I've had him since 2").
Although they do lie around a lot, usually when I approach he comes to the front looking for food and sometimes he cruises around chasing tank mates.
I added some plant clippings from another tank.
