setting it up tommorow, iknow the dvd says about using the overhang backets but i have a lagre lip of glass<shelf>inside tank with the two holes at either end.....is it ok to run the hose through these usual filter holes?
if its already plumbed and you can adapt the FX5 hoses to it then go for it. Just make sure the input from the FX5 isn't greater than the overflow capacity.
sorry mate not sure if you understand me right....
the pipes in this hole is from my fluval 403......
just wondered if i remove these pipe, can i put the fx5 pipe through this hole into tank,or do you have to you the brackets and conect pipe over the back wall as in dvd...glad for you help mind...thanks buddy
Yes it should work alright through the holes in the corners. Let me know what you think of the fx5 i have one on my 200gal and am adding another the sure don't have much flow after the first few days of running.
hope thats not true,i got it to pass alot more water...man in local fish shop has one on his marine tank...loves it he does,,,,,,and also has four large tanks at home which he has one on each...
I have one on my 125 and it works just as good now as it did the day I set it up. I have had it for 4 months and have only had to clean it out once. I guess that will depend on the types and sizes of the individual's fish.
The brackets I assumed when connecting my FX5 where to provide a secure connection and to prevent kinking of the hoses. I'm sure you could work around it with a DIY solution....good luck...I have 2 FX5's now and just love them.
I guess my problem is i liked the Aquaclears they moved alot of water. I just thought it would move more water in my tank but after i put in some ceramics it slowed right down but i like the extra bio mass in it my next one i might not put any thing in but the original foam. I'll see if it make a diffrence. But so far not really impressed. Yes i'm in to maosters too like peacocks and rays that might make the differnce. I might of asumed wrong when i saw the sixe of them they would move more water and i clean mine once a week.
