Thanks for the link. After reading your thread in APF (the one about what equipment to buy for your d3000), I have been thinking about getting one, but the thing is, I thought that using flash to take pictures of an aquarium would just make a glare on the glass (?)

thank you, do you have any reccommendations on some improvements i could make to these shots?

The only thing I could say is a black background would make the fish really pop. Other than that, just plenty of practice while taking note of your settings. You are of to a brilliant start and I have no doubt your images will get even better. I look forward to your future threads

no, you just gotta make sure not to shoot dead straight onto the fish or it will bounce back creating that glare, just took these with an sb 600

The only thing I could say is a black background would make the fish really pop.
