Stock the 220 with cichlids, dat, birchir etc. I would rehome the aro PRETTY soon.

Nah, an aro can stay in that tank for a good long time yet.

the aro will be fine in that tank till he is about 2 1/2 feet...I would get a pair of jags, a couple delhezi and 4 or 5 Lima shovelnose catfish. They are really neat fish

That fish could be as long as the tank is wide, and still have no problem turning around. They are very flexible, and can bend their body almost double. Giving an aro a lot of space is nice, but watch one, you'll find they will still make tight turns regardless of how much room they have.
