yay fahakas

after reading a post with a vid link i seen these lil fahakas get big.
and there cute in a fugly way.
my lps had couple 3 inch so I bribed em to give me all 3 for 20$ good deal hey.
when I brought them home I was worried about my cichlids gettn munchd but they are getting along even sharing caves for sleeping. while the tank there in is 250 gal i'm curious as to how long till the cichlids would be lunch (assuming they can be caught) also ive heard the fahakas dont like eachother is this the case if there raised together?

You cannot keep fahakas together for any period of time! Experts aren't even sure how they get together to breed w/o killing each other.

ill keep my eye on them I have the tanks to split them up if need be but for now they seem pretty chill.

fine anyone in alberta want a fahaka free of charge, they seem to give em away here anyways. the cichlids gonna stay tho. do I need to worry bout my armord plecos?

Yup, a 4" fahaka can bite an 8" pleco in 1/2. Happened to a friend of mine.

Here's what mine did to a large EBJD:

It died shortly afterwards. I never saw the fahaka attacking him--always at night.

get a seperate tank for your fahaka or just get rid of them.
i kept mine with an oscar, and a jack dempsey thinking that mine was chill because i never saw him messing with the fish, one day i woke up and every fish in my tank was torn to shreds

this is really sad.. so many of these EBJD don't even make it to 3 inches.. this guy was gorgeous
