Well just got back from the LFS and picked up a Carpintis Escondido race for 11.99. He's about 3 and 1/2 inches long. He is in QT right now in a 20 gallon. Will post pics later. Oh and excuse the algae on the glass I haven't gotten around to cleaning this tank and I just sold my swordtails that were in it so... I kept the algae for them as they are grazers.

take some pics :)

I will post pics of him in the 125 as soon as it's up and ready ( couple days, building the stand still). Anyways hey Grey'goose I think you know alot about FHs? Do you? well anyway here's my question for you or any other FH person. Now if I were to swap out the Jag and instead put a FH with the Carpinte and Mota in the 125 will I experience problems with him. They have one at a LFS in a Dovii, Red Devil , Citrinellus tank and he absolutely destroys the Dovii's, but suprisingly he just bumps the RD's with his head and swims away. Really no aggression to them just he hates the dovii. This is all just a thought I probably will end up getting the Jag but just lookin for ideas.

Anybody? Also how hardy are these fish. All I know about them is how to sex them and they are relatively aggressive. Oh and turns out I called the LFS to see if he still had his huge 10" Rokteil Severum ( was thinking about putting him in a 75 with another massive Gold severum 9" I found at another LFS) and he was talking about the Carpinte he sold me and he said he got it from Jeff Rapps. I was like YESS!! because now I don't have to pay for shipping lol. He also has some breeding HRP that I was interested in along with about 25 Dovii in a 220 gallon all under 3".

I dont know much about FH, but they are relatively similar to texas as far as body shape goes... that might not be a good thing. Texas are very scrappy fighters. They aren't huge brutes, but they will stand their hold their own at the least.

well im still learning day to day,but i can say the FH i got is the meanest fish i ever owned and i had about every aggro fish that pops on this board so i wouldnt recommend the FH with no and i mean no tankmates

yeah... my FH charges full force if i put my hand near the lid, and he is a pretty bad glassbanger... If I could find anything to stand up to him, they would just fight till one was dead so... imho FH are more of a solo fish... i mean, each one has a different personality of course and im sure SOME fish may co-exist... but in general id say nothing with them.
