he is certainly a beauty... wow and so young to be so awesome..I do not think these get that large and also are moderatly aggressive.. very good pickup..just read a bit on them..begin to breed at 3 to 4 inches..males max out about 8 inches.. other name green texas cichlid.. like him alot!!bigriver;1053585; said:
Nope no more last one. Hahahaha I just noticed your in Branford. Omg I remember the times i grew up there. Right on Brushy Planes road. Well not on it I lived on Laurel Hill but it's off of it. I work in Branford as well in my dads shop Cross Auto Body. You probably know my dads shop it has been there since the dawn of time lol right near Richlins off of main street. I actually got him at Aquarium Concepts in Branford right next to Zanes and In Shape. He has some dovii and HRP as well there like the other LFS, but the other LFS had nicer ones in a 220 gallon not the little 30's AC has. Also AC has a breeding pair of HRP in there. I know AC is a little crappy but he does do buisness with Rapps as he told me. BTW I love branford best town ever. I was very upset when I moved to No. Haven but I still go to branford like everyday when I'm not roofing in wallingford lol. Where abouts are you from in Branford ( short beach? or Stony creek area). Stony is awesome but is tooooo expensive to live lol.
we have a saying in branford.you can leave but it always pulls you back in.Any way im in stony creek area now.Rick ownes aquarium concept,i gave him my dovii fry last year( jeffs).I usualy unload all my fry betwwen all pets ,rick, pet star.Just got a pair of breeding jags from all pets and babies will be here soon.my escons i bought from rapps in the fall last year all died ??? been looking ever since.

That saying is 1000% true. I am down at the point alot fishing for Snappers and Stripers. Do you fish at Branford Point? Branford is just a great town to be in. My sis is moving in the Stony area soon. I haven't been to the new All pets in Branford yet I go to the one in wallingford since it's a little closer. I say go up there they just got some freddies, motas, and all sorts of goodies instock. Have you been to the one in Wallingford yet? If you have is the Branford one the same set-up because the one in Wallingford I find is great. Also do you find Rick a little weird?lol. He's got a nice 10" royal Pleco there that I was looking at.
Soon to be fishing for blues and stripers at the point,creek.Ha lol we think rick goes in the back room and drinks alot.The branford all pets fish room is huge much bigger than wallingfords,but the cichlid selection is poor compared to wallingfords.I had to teach most of branford pet stores on how to get cichlids from rapps and that it would be a good thing.That way i get the cichlids i want and dont have to pay shipping.so it works out for all of us.

At the point I can't keep most of the stripers though because they aren't 28" yet. I just caught a 3 foot blue the other day near the point. I went a little ways from the point past Lenny's that resturant near the Bait shop. I was fishing off a rock pier and we were catching tons of snappers! Soon as we threw in the line they hit the mackrel hard. Caught a bunch of Sea Robins too. I caught the big blue on a mackrel head and had a 40 pound liter on it and the blue snapped it like a twig. I had just bought the liters from the bait shop too. I was like wow and at that same time another guy caught a Striper on a 40#er as well and it broke that one lol. Both were jumpin at the same time it was cool. Oh and how often are you at the point or fishing anywhere in branford? I am usually down there alot so I'll probably see you. Just look for a tall dude with LONG curly hair lol.
