YAY finally new tank within 2-3 days!

I got it! 55 gallons of beauty.
when the guy brought it here it was in horrid condition, and i thought about not taking it, but i decided i made him drive all this way, i better take it.
after taking out all the dead live rock, i had to take a spade and dig out all 5 or so inches of god knows what (i think it was substrate lol) then after i got most of it out, i tipped it over outside to get the rest out (and the UGF) i then filled it part way full of water and scrubbed quite a bit and it is pretty damn clean now.
i tried to put together the magnum HOT filter, but it took probably 20 min because the guy had taken it apart and not put it back together, and he also left me with a few pices to a penquin filter for some dumb reason (it confused the crap out of me) after getting it all put together i realized it had to media in it......so its not running yet so i improvised and now i'm under filtered on my two remaining tanks (just running a 29 and the 55 now).
should i fill the filter with pot scrubbies or what?
anyway, i put the light on (no hood came with the tank, i'll have to diy something) and it didn't turn on at first so i was kinda pissed, then all of a sudden it turned on (yay) but its an actinic light.....i do kinda like the blue, its unique, but i guess its going to have to be replaced.
so the tank is all set up now and i'm happy (atleast until my mom comes home, lets just hope she doesn't ground me from going camping this 4th of july)

i hope the 4 line puts some more length on.....but he was in some guys 10 gallon tank for so long and he didn't even know he had to do water changes....

when i get a tank i use a power washer what you use for the car and it cleans it in seconds and i use it to get all the algea off the stones ect
(be carefull tho it can damage the silicone)

one last thing, everything is awesome! i slowly broke news to my mom who sorta had a problem with it, but she was actually pretty ok with it after the initial suprise, then i was worried about my dad, because he is normally the one that gets mad at stuff like this, but i'm thinking it set in good enough with mom that dad kinda realized that and didn't care too much. its all good! however, no more fish tanks for me.
both filters were takin off of 100% cycled tanks. i actually took all the stock, some of the sand, and all of the decor from the 29 gallon tank and put it in the 55, added some more decor, took the filter from the 29 and placed it on the 55, so it basically just made my 29 gallon tank bigger.
