Man, your so 2006!....... Get with the program. 2007 is the new 1976! Seriously, we all have our own opinion of what looks good. If we didn't, do you really think we'd be so interested in MONSTER FISH?!?

Anyone have any extra Pink Flamingos BTW?

If you know we all have our own opinions then why are you sledging him for posting his own  :screwy:

A house down the street has gnomes and a little mushroom house for them, I think it looks stupid, but hey, its not my yard.

Well...... with that I assume my sarcastic comedy didn't come across as planned. I wasn't "sledging" anyone. I was making fun of the damn flamingos. Call PETA. It's all in good fun. No harm intended.

I dunno, I think sunken ships and stuff look pretty cool if the tank is set up with realistic looking items and reminds me of an actual shipwreck site or whatever theme the fishkeeper is going for.
If it's just like a cheap plastic ship thrown in there or something with random plastic decor, then no, it looks pretty bad IMO.

i personally like the bogwood with the dark pepples look but the missus was talking about maybe gettin a sunken ship or something, sharp edges are something that i dont want in my tank which rules it out i guess. however i think that a sunken ship could look quite good in a tank, better than those plain old clay pots!

Like most people that started an aquarium under kid-presure, i first had one of those plastic things, plus a plastic plant, of course, in the tank. Then i showed my daughter pictures of what a river looks like under water, and she was ok with it to move the crap and get plants and wood :) now it's ok, but some of her friends still have a tank with ship and/or a diver, the parents hate it, the fish don't care and the kids love it so they let it be.

i prefere a more natural look. i always TRY to recreate a natural environment for my fish.

On the positive side, a sunken ship provides a couple nice big caves. I have seen a few nice ships at Big Al's and ThatFishPlace. I agree that most all the other fake ornaments look cheesy and offer nothing for the fish.
