Love that choco monster

What's that on bricks lip
Its fairly common in oscars and is sometimes referred to as a ‘chinple’. Sometimes its due to the fishes digging and exploring things with its mouth. I had a Pearsei that developed one because of eating sinking pellets off the substrate. I switched to floating foods and it went away. But for some reason its really common in Oscars and it doesn’t always go away.

Its scar tissue from digging. Brick is constantly reworking his pit and moving rocks. I read somewhere it's a sign of maturity in Oscars. He's already broken off a piece of his 'chinple' this morning.

Loving the progression photos. Subbed to the thread! For the syno duo what size did you get them in at?
