Yellow anaconda, feeding

I have aboslutely no experience with Anacondas.

Are they nippier than Bloods ( i mean nippy bloods because sone aren't )?

Anaconda's definitely have an attitude. There's more nasty anacondas than tame. Bloods definitely have a temper but I feel they're easier to tame down since they don't get as big and there are a lot of tame bloods but not a lot if tame anacondas.

^ exactly, Ive had greens/yellows and blood pythons. The bloods would be nippy, but tamed down easy. My green was pretty maniacal. But I tamed my yellows pretty easy. Go a few weeks without handling them, or feeding them inside their enclosure, and they'll resort back to bein Lil nipsters

Thanks guys. Was what i thought...

I imagine the size of an enclosure for a female green....

I have seen crosses of both condas Hamm and Houten, at the reptile expo.

Are those crosses common stateside?

Everybody says that yellows are meaner the greens, but greens get bigger. From my experience, if the animal is captive bred, nothing is to worry about. My green was calm as a cucumber, nothing would make her made or upset. Even when she was 9 feet long getting probed, no issues. My yellow on the other hand is a bit more on edge. I just let him have his way and he's fine. Kind of like "he takes less" before he gets real upset.

The only bloods i've ever owned have been tame, and so have my anacondas... I don't know how to help with answering your question Miguel, lol.

Does this snake look mean?

Good god... you own a legit anaconda!? Being the total newbie I am, I picture a bus length snake that wants to eat humans... is this not the case? Bad ass regardless man! Anymore photos?

I've always debated on getting a green cuz I own retics but I'm just not a fan of how their eyes are pretty much on top of their heads.

^yep that's their aquatic nature. I breed albino retics, and their temperment is similar. It's just the time you put into the snake. I'd say greens are calmer, as long as they're captive bred

Any special type of albinos or just the normal white, lavender and purple phase? I currently have an lavender albino tiger, sunfire het albino and platinum het albino. From my experience, its usually the males that have the more aggressive nature especially during breeding season. My female is the calmest one of the bunch. Would you say the green anacondas are the same way?

Well I have a lavender and purple, but it was always a mixed bunch. But I agree with you there, my males were almost more aggressive but with anacondas I would have to say it'd be similar, but I've only had females, with my only male being a yellow. So I am not completely sure on that to be honest.
