There are five common fish in this group.

Morone americana the white perch.
Morone chrysops, the white bass or sand bass.
Morone mississippiensis, the yellow bass.
Morone saxatilis, the striped bass.

Finally, we have the so called hybrid stripers who are a cross of M. saxatilis and M. chrysops.

Yellow bass are indeed a unique species that is not a striper or a hybrid.
