Buy? Why not just go fishing for whatever catfish is local. Im on the East & for me bullhead was an option because you can catch them everywhere & I dont have $ to import rare large cats. Its illegal for me to sell you one , some guys in upstate NY just got busted. If your ever east of the Mississippi you should be able to get a few day fishing license an obtain one legally. I havent kept any in a tank, but I plan on it one day. Ive been fishing since I could walk and have caught/eatten hundreds of bullhead. Night fishing for cats

yea, where i live there are no bullheads.

channel catfish is another option but they just get to big! btw fishing is also my hobbie.

i kept a bullhead when i was a kid, great personable fish to keep IMO and they look so much cleaner when kept in a tank as opposed to living their lives in the mud

PS - caught mine in a bucket going for crayfish and he was about 1" haha
