They eat pretty much anything. I've only kept small ones (1" or so), and I had them on frozen bloodworm cubes and sinking bottom feeder pellets.
They really enjoy hiding in small spaces such as empty snail shells. I recommend getting them some empty shells for when they are young for hiding purposes.
