yellow danio

Hi,

I think my yellow danio is pregrnant. I'm not sure what to do. Should i leave it in the 10 gallon with the other danios and platies. Maybe i could put a piece of screen door at the bottom of the tank. I tried to take a pic of it but they are very quick.



I know one male must stay with her to fertilise the eggs. with the platies they will either eat the eggs or eat the small fry.

I've never successfully had Danios spawn in a community tank (even heavily planted) because all the other fish ate the fry, including the parents, so if your set on breeding Danios you'll need to remove the pair into a tank of their own to spawn. Once they've spawned remove the adults so they won't eat the eggs.

Oops I ment have the fry live. I've had Zebra and Leopard Danios spawn, they just never passed fry hood due to predation.
