I like all of them, as long as they look fat and heathy. I have seen a lot of "rough" looking dovii. These are a couple of mine. Ive had them for 5 months 1.5" when aquired the male is aprox 7.5".View attachment 872814

To be honest I don't even like the different strains being called gold or blue or whatever the case. I think this causes confusion and in reality there are many cases you cant tell the difference in males from collection points. I have seen males from locations that I would have guaranteed at one point were the other strain. Often they look very similar. Here is a pic of my CR male. Pictures really capture the color of a fish at a particular time. Colors come and go, different lighting, equipment and environments can have a big effect on the colors of a Dovii.

Thats a nice fish, none of that hollow belly allot of them get.I'm a fan of the blue. I know I got mine mainly because of their overall personality not necessarily his look. heres my 1 year old. he only shows color when youre not looking but you get the idea.
