So I pick up this little guy. Been wanting one for so long and I finally came across one that I couldn't resist.

She is much more yellow than any other Fahaka's I've seen in any stores or online.

Is this normal or is she stressed out? Maybe I just haven't seen enough Fahaka's to notice one with this much yellow.

She seems to be acting better after settling and and is beginning to pick up the eating and greeting me as I approach the tank.

Any info/advice/criticism is very welcome!

Could be your lighting.

nice puffer! i think its just like, that one is just with beautiful colors! what do you feed him?

She was a little slow to take food at first and rejected shrimp and massivore.

But she began to take shrimp on the second day like a little pig. :)

I compared her with the other 5 puffers at the store and they all looked duller and had a greener/duller tint to them. I don't think it's the lighting at all.

All of the other ones I saw were similar to the one shown in the pic below:

That's really nice. I've thought about getting one in the past.

Thanks, she is definitely a cutie.

Been wanting one for so long but didn't really want to dedicate an entire tank to one.

But this one makes it all worthwhile.

Anyone know if you can keep a pleco with one?

Depends on the individual fahaka. 99% of them are killers. Mine allows some tank mates but kills others.

Thanks for the info. Any chance you know what and if I should deworm this little guy?

She seems healthy, but I am not sure what I can use and what puffers can/cannot tolerate.
